Joseph's Shadow Poem

I am from the desert
the cactus and the heat.
I am from the outside
and the stadium that the professionals play
from the cardinal
and the robin.

I'm from the plane
from the sand to the ocean to the cold
the turbulence from landing
from the hot to the cold.

I'm from the gridiron
the hike of the ball to the whistle
from half time to the bus ride back
the victory to the next practice.
