Day 3: Hope/Gull Rock

This is Josh reporting from Hope, Alaska. Fishing in Hope was great. We had a lot of fun by the bridge and we had messy food after. We did a lot of fishing. I used a K-15 and a fly that was pink. It worked, I popped on top and had a lot of action on the fly. It was a great day with Ms. Banks, Mr. Spade, and Ms. LeClair. We had s'mores, hot dogs, and chips, and there was a lot of playing around. we had a lot of fun and we got to hike around Hope.
We had so much fun goofing around and telling jokes on the bus. We had a lot of stuff to do while we were fishing and we did a lot of fun stuff. We did so much in Hope and we were beat, so we slept on the bus. I was so happy to go home. I was tired when I got home, and my dog was so excited to see me.

Hello, this is Shawna with the news report about the fishing at Hope, Alaska.  The weather was great!  It was sunny all day!  There weren’t that many fish, but Cadeesha got a bite! I myself almost got one, but somehow it got away.  We also had a fire going on and had hot dogs and s’mores.  It was very good!

Jean also brought a couple kids for a walk around Hope.  It was beautiful! We saw a big, old cafe and a gift shop in a log cabin. There were also lots of bugs and flowers.

This is Nadria reporting from hiking. It was a great day on the trail. The weather was amazing, it wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold and luckily no rain. It was a longgg ways to walk. It felt like it was never going to end. Luckily, we didn't see any bears and they didn’t see us. We walked, talked and some people even started to sing.
We walked up hills and down hills, we even jumped over little, tiny flowing rivers. Luckily, no one fell in. We saw some beautiful views overlooking the ocean, we stopped to take pictures, we took water breaks every once in a while. We were the only ones to have ever hiked that far, since the last set of hikers who came on this trip with the school district. When we came to a finally stop we rested, ate, chatted and laughed at a few jokes. Then we were up and walking again on our way back to the bus. We were getting so exhausted. The question on everyone's mind was “Are we there yet?’’ We kept going and going till we made it. Wooo! we made it finally. Six miles there and six miles back.
